Foods for Super Sex

Its just not the shape, texture, scent and color that makes some foods sexy. They also contain certain ingredients which give us that feel good and stimulating experience.

Try the following food on your next candle light dinner and see how they help pep you and your partner into the right mood.

Oysters: The first on our list is the simple oysters, they are a good source of minerals like selenium and zinc, and are also rich in protein. A perfect appetizer to a beautiful meal. Just be careful when purchasing, as some can have high levels of pollutants and PCB’s. Avoid oysters if you are pregnant.

Chocolates: These have earned their role as a symbol of love and lust due to the presence of theobromine, a stimulant of the brain that creates a pleasurable effect. Chocolates also contain antioxidants, that help lower the risk of cancer and various heart diseases. Do remember that they are high in fat, so some self restraint is required to see that you don’t over consume them. Prefer dark chocolates as they are usually lower in sugar and have higher concentrations of antioxidants and theobromine.

Tropical Fruits: Kiwi and papaya are colorful fruits that have an alluring and interesting aspect about them that can help flip the switch. They are loaded with antioxidants, and help fend off heart disease and cancers. Kiwi actually has more vitamin C in it than an orange, and papaya is rich in beta-carotene and high in fiber.

Honey: This was medieval favorite still as effective. Honey was thought to sweeten the marriage when used in drinks. But bear in mind, that they contain pretty high amounts of sugar, so use it in moderation.

Asparagus: This can also help get your partner in the right mood. It’s one of the few natural sources of vitamin E and is a natural diuretic. Steaming is the best way to prepare them without losing nutrients, and they can easily be eaten by hand.

Coffee & Tea: There is nothing like a good cup of coffee or tea after that romantic dinner to trigger the release of epinephrine, which contributes to stimulation in the body. It can also be found in dark chocolate. Just don’t consume too much caffeine before bed, unless you plan on being awake all night long!

Remember to eat these super foods and give your sex life a natural boost.
